Meet The Wagon Burners

Okay, I’m sure you are wondering what a Wagon Burner is! It is member of one of the most enthusiastic off road racing families I have ever met. Each race weekend this group sets up camp at the local MX park and generally stay for 2-3 days. Back to the name, this group is having a little fun with their heritage. The Wagon Burners are all Native Americans and the name, well figure it out! I was joking with Greg Winbury at the last race about pulling a burning wagon around the track for a demo. I was joking but he told me that they had considered building a covered wagon grill to bring to the track each weekend.

There are over 30 Wagon Burners that come out for the races. They race UTV and Trophy Karts. 4 of the members have completed Fab School and do most all of the fabrication and repair on the cars.

Off Road is a perfect family sport and it provides all who participate an instant release of energy/stress and a chance to spend time together. After a full day of racing, the group parties around the camp fire and get ready for the next day.
